Digit All Systems issued 39 A+ certifications in the last year

In the last year, downtown nonprofit Digit All Systems has helped 39 “Baltimore youth” earn A+ certifications, according to Baltimore City Paper.
As Technical.ly Baltimore has reported, Digit All Systems founder Lance Lucas views IT training and computer certifications as a way to get Baltimore’s “untapped population” jobs that pay well. The hope is that people who are unemployed can use technology certifications to find IT work and pull themselves out of poverty.
While Lucas has been running Digit All since the early 2000s, he says “his efforts at promotion — a guns-for-laptops trade last summer, for instance — haven’t rung the right bells,” reports City Paper.
