This local Thiel Fellow was Airbnb’s youngest employee last summer

Business Insider named Conrad Kramer one of 24 "incredibly impressive high school graduates."

Conrad Kramer, 17, was Airbnb‘s youngest employee last summer. The software developer graduated from South Jersey’s Cherry Hill High School East this spring and will soon begin his two-year Thiel Fellowship, where he’ll work on a startup called DeskConnect that lets users transfer photos and other files between devices with one touch. Kramer will move to San Francisco for the prestigious fellowship, founded by Paypal cofounder Peter Thiel.

Business Insider named him one of 24 “incredibly impressive high school graduates.” Kramer is just one of the many high school hackers who are emerging in the Philadelphia area.

Kramer will be working with fellow Philadelphian and Thiel Fellow Ari Weinstein on DeskConnect. Weinstein, 20, grew up in Mt. Airy and took a leave from MIT to pursue software development (and the Thiel Fellowship), the Inquirer reported. Weinstein cofounded DeskConnect with Northeast Philadelphia native Ben Feldman, also 20.
