The Comcast Foundation, the charitable arm of the cable conglomerate, donated $20,000 to the Fells Point-based Living Classrooms Foundation.
According to a press release, the money will be used to “develop the Comcast Learning Lab at the organization’s Patterson Park facility, which will provide digital literacy programs and training to students living in the local area.”
In total, the foundation donated $95,000 to six Baltimore-area nonprofits, including the Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Baltimore, which received $15,000 “for Club Tech, which teaches technology skills through interactive projects and activities and provides basic technology education and computer skills to club members,” according to the release.
