Crowdfunding of the Week is a regular series highlighting the technology, creative and innovation crowdfunding campaigns in Baltimore that might be worth your support. This week’s project comes from GiveCorps. See other Crowdfundings of the Week here.
Competitive robotics teams in the Baltimore region now have a permanent practice space. Located in Hollins Market, the Baltimore City Robotics Center is beginning its 18-month pilot program. Middle school and high school students who participate in FIRST and VEX robotics competitions will be able to use the space after school and on weekends to learn the rules of the game, practice driving robots and take part in scrimmages with teams from around the city.
But to outfit the large, second-floor room at 1001 West Pratt Street, the gym is raising $2,000.
Donate to the Baltimore City Robotics Center here.
According to the center’s GiveCorps page, the money will pay for the “equipment, security, and the day-to-day operations and maintenance” of the robotics gym.
