Next week, Accelerate Delaware will host its first major event following its launch last year as an effort to further its millennial-focused mission to revitalize the workforce in the state.
The event is called Winter Wonderland Mixer and it will be held at the Westin on the Wilmington riverfront. There will be raffle prizes from local vendors such as CoreTen Fitness, Longwood Gardens, IMAX Penn Cinema, Zoup!, Currie Hair Skin and Nails and Horizon Services Riverfront Rink.

At $15 a piece, general admission tickets will include a drink ticket, a raffle ticket with hot and cold appetizer selections.

We asked Accelerate Delaware’s executive director Kia Irvin a couple of months ago about her work hack methods. That was when she told us how important self care was to keeping her work/life balance. Accelerate Delaware intends to create alternatives for activities for young professionals after work through its programming to provide a balanced experience for millennials. This event is only one of many events the organization has planned for the future.
