Futures First Gaming (FFG), the Wilmington-based startup that aims to train under-resourced kids for gaming industry jobs while making Delaware an esports hub, is gearing up for two online summer camps for young people ages 10 to 16.
FFG Saturday Camp runs on Saturdays from June 26 to Aug. 21, with campers learning both coding and gaming. More advanced campers can attend the Advanced Weekday Camp, which teaches coding, gaming and entrepreneurship.
The weekday program includes:
- 40 hours of open play, tournaments and team play
- 40 hours of coding and game design instruction
- 20 hours of entrepreneurship programming with a focus on esports career pathways, individual brand building and event production
- Networking with the FFG community and program partners
FFG also offers its camp programming for schools and organizations. The STEM.org-accredited esports and education company is also an official Workforce Development Provider in the state of Delaware, thanks to a partnership with the Delaware State Department of Health and Social Services.
