Wilmington’s Carvertise, a national-facing, rideshare-based transit advertising company, has grown rapidly and consistently since its founding as a University of Delaware startup in 2012.
This week, in a latest show of maturity, it announced that it has hired Anthony Fuscaldo, a big player in the Philly ad game, as its director of sales for Philadelphia.
Fuscaldo is a former SVP of sales for iHeartMedia who most recently was in charge of account growth and large scale sponsorships for Intersection Co., a Philadelphia company known for its public digital and transportation-based advertising. In his new position for Carvertise, he will focus on expanding the company’s out-of-home (OOH) presence across Philadelphia and the U.S. as the company continues to grow.
“After watching Carvertise successfully develop new innovations for the OOH industry over the past few years, I could not be more excited to be part of the team,” Fuscaldo said in a statement. “[Carvertise VP of Sales] Jim Fischer and I have envisioned this scenario for a long time. [Founders] Mac [Macleod] and Greg [Star] have created a product suite that is truly unique and compelling in today’s OOH industry.”
“Anthony’s background and expertise in radio and out-of-home advertising will be a boon to the growth of the rideshare advertising industry,” Fischer said. “He’s a perfect fit to help build upon our rapidly expanding footprint and further our mission of ‘dominating the streets.’”
Carvertise, which has over 350,000 drivers in its national network of ride sharing, delivery and commuter drivers, launched a partnership program in March to reduce their car maintenance costs. Drivers earn passive income monthly for wrapping their cars with client advertising for brands like Netflix, 7-Eleven, EA Sports, NASCAR and GlaxoSmithKline.
Currently, the company has a job opening in Wilmington for a customer service representative.
