The Data Lab’s next virtual meetup is coming on Tuesday, March 30, at 4 p.m., with the topic of advances in collaboration in virtual and augmented reality.

Panelists for the event include:

  • Jim McAdams of ChristianaCare
  • Michael DiBenigno of Flow Immersive
  • Bri Scully of Spatial

Per the event description, the discussion will cover the use of VR for meeting collaboration in healthcare; communicating effectively remotely and in person using data and spatial computing; and using “the virtual world experience to uncover ways the technology can be designed and experienced in productive ways.”

The Data Lab is connected to  predictive analytics and insights company CompassRed Data Labs. In October 2020, CompassRed received a $2 million New Castle County CARES Act grant to launch the Delaware Data Innovation Lab (DDIL), which uses data analytics innovations to help with the state’s COVID recovery. That includes the creation of jobs, stimulation of the economy and development of new technologies. It officially launched on Dec. 1 with six civic data projects.

Data Lab meetups are free to attend. RSVP here.
