Biotech is a major industry in Delaware, ranging from medical research and technology to biopharmaceuticals to environmental technology.

This year, DelawareBio is holding a five-day virtual Igniting Innovation Week (#IIW2020) from Nov. 9 through 13, focusing on member’s contributions to public and economic health in 2020. The public is invited to join the daily broadcasts for free. Registration is required.

The event will start Monday, Nov. 9, with a fireside chat featuring Ruud Dobber, Ph.D., EVP and president of the BioPharmaceuticals Business Unit of AstraZeneca. It will be moderated by Philip Amoa, partner at McCarter & English.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will feature representatives from ChristianaCare, University of Delaware, Incyte, Agilent, Nemours Children’s Health Care, Adesis, Delaware Innovation Space and Prelude Therapeutics discussing Delaware research, new products and services, and growth.

The event ends on Friday the 13th with a grand finale video and a live drawing of the Igniting Innovation Week giveaways, including an executive coffee station, a digital conference bundle and a team membership to Hagley Museum and Library.
