Wanna do some future-gazing inside a 200-year-old castle?

Science will extend our lives, says futurist Jim Lee. Come hear more at this #DIW18 event, happening inside Tilton Mansion, at 805 N Broom.

There are all sorts of events coming for Delaware Innovation Week – which kicks off on November 2 with a big party at DCAD – but this one does a really good job of blending the past and the future.

At Cocktails & Trends, brought to #DIW18 by investment firm StratFI and its founder (Delaware-based futurist and investor Jim Lee) you’ll be able to sip cocktails inside a 200-year-old castle (Tilton Mansion, home of The University & Whist Club) while listening to acoustic jazz duo Sharon and Shawn Q and getting the scoop on what the future of science holds.

Topics include:

  • The factors behind aging and where progress is being made
  • Recent advances in regenerative medicine
  • Investment opportunities to watch
  • Simple things you can do to extend the quality of your life

The free event will be held on Nov. 6, from 7 to 9 p.m.
