Zip Code Wilmington, OpenBracket and Wilmington Green Box all have one thing in common: They’ve all successfully participated the the Reinventing Delaware Idea Competition.

Hosted by the Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation, the annual event invites thought leaders and entrepreneurs to submit for-profit or social venture ideas that will make Delaware better — by creating jobs, increasing accessibility and improving the overall quality of life in the First State.

The competition will feature 20 ideas selected through a crowdsourcing effort, which will be among the 100 ideas pitched at the invite-only Reinventing Delaware event on Dec. 5. All attendees have the possibility of receiving support for further development.

The deadline for submitting ideas is Oct. 24. Ideas should be have job creation potential, significant impact, be innovative, viable and financially sustainable.
