Delaware may be small, but it’s certainly not remote.
The southern Delaware beaches are so close to D.C. that a Washington Post reporter following Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court hearing can find his high-school buddy — a potential witness who could cost Kavanaugh his career under oath — at a beach house in Bethany, and it’s totally not weird.
Long story short, Mark Judge, longtime friend of embattled Supreme Court Justice nominee Kavanaugh, was going to testify as a character witness for Kavanaugh in his sexual abuse hearing. It was discovered that Judge had actually written a book, Wasted: Tales of a GenX Drunk, an out-of-print 1997 memoir about his — and Kavanaugh’s — youth that apparently supports the behavior described by assault accuser Christine Blasey Ford.
So, as it seems, Judge disappeared into the wilds of Delaware, where he was found several days later, asking the meme-worthy question: “How’d you find me?”

It’s not every day that Delaware is on the social media tongues of D.C. pundits and wags, despite its proximity to the capitol.
Delaware is hosting Mark Judge. https://t.co/wAMjeMI695

Some have even been there.
I just spent a week in Delaware at Bethany Beach. No sign of Kavanaugh’s high school pal Mark Judge in any of my beach photos. For that matter, no sign of any roving WaPo reporters either. https://t.co/vJ69j9CGqI pic.twitter.com/Pj6nLPs29S

But if you really want to show off your Delaware beach cred, name drop.
Where's Mark Judge?
Try the Dog Fish Head saloon and brewery in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
He'll be drunk at the bar.
