The University of Delaware Disaster Research Center (DRC) is one of the top organizations of its kind — they even met with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg when he visited Wilmington last year to discuss Facebook’s Crisis Response tool.
Now, as Hurricane Florence impacts the Carolinas, the DRC is all over the national news, with researcher Jennifer Horney being quoted in multiple outlets including The Weather Channel’s Weather.com and Forbes.
NBC 10 in Philadelphia also featured Horney in a video spot about Florence, and why those in its path shouldn’t compare it to past hurricanes. You can watch the video here.
