Come see us at Wilmington LOVE [Update]

The City of Wilmington has a new promotional campaign — and they're throwing a party Monday to announce it.

Update: According to a city official, Monday's event is being postponed because of the weather and wet grounds at Rodney Square. The city will announce a new date soon and Technical.ly will update this post accordingly. (9/10/18, 8:00 a.m.)

Tonight is the Wilmington LOVE block party in Rodney Square — a free after-work event — and Technical.ly will be there!

We’ll be one of about 50 organizations coming together to celebrate Wilmington and see what the city has cooking. Keep an eye out for our table and say hi!

There will be live music from Tia Sharee and John Carr, Sharon and Shawn and The Voice’s Kelsea Johnson. There will also be food trucks and opportunities to meet people in the community.

Wilmington LOVE will start at 4 p.m.

Mayor Mike Purzycki, City Council President Hanifa Shabazz and Gov. John Carney will make an important announcement at 4:50. Party ends at 8.
