TEDxWilmington’s seventh annual conference will be happening Sept. 27 at the Figure 8 Barn at Bellevue State Park. (Yes, a barn. This year’s event features 30 speakers and a horse. But it’s not just any barn. The Figure 8 is a 3,000-person event space with theater seating.) This year’s theme is “NOW WHAT?”
Ajit George, who was granted the TEDx license for Wilmington in 2011, teases the event in this video by the DeTv crew:
Ajit Mathew George is here to tell you there are 30 reasons why you should hurry up and buy tickets to our 7th Annual Conference…and one of them is a HORSE! Hear 29 speakers from around the world (and a horse named "Viton") explore topics you never knew you wanted to know about. This year's theme, "NOW WHAT?" hopes to bring solutions to some of the world's most troubling problems. We have all these resources and technology at our fingertips, but most of the time we have no idea what to do with it all. Come find out how you can help change the world.Buy Tickets Now –> https://www.eventbrite.com/e/7th-annual-tedxwilmington-conference-now-what-tickets-47998065506This year's speakers represent 12 different states and 4 different countries including Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin – plus South Africa, Sweden, Mexico, and the British Virgin Islands.Speakers include:Adebisi AdebowaleJodi Lobozzo AmanJennifer Behm-LazzariniSusanne PrivatBrandon Blackburn-DwyerSara Blanchard FrederickGeorge ChanosColleen CowlesGlen A DunzweilerErrol EbanksAndrew GabelićMarkevis GideonSean J.
