“Icing” the kicker — or calling a timeout just before the ball is snapped in an attempt to get in the kicker’s head — is the more common, albeit similarly chilly, phrase.
The “Cool the Kicker” campaign is in connection with another Barn client, McGowan’s Heating & Air Conditioning of Jacksonville, which has pledged to donate to charity every time the opposing kicker misses the field goal.-30-
