If you’ve never been out to Dew Point Brewing Company in Yorklyn, it’s worth checking out, not only for the quality local brews but for the picturesque surroundings as well. Dew Point uses its outdoor space at the historic Garrett Snuff Mills with frequent weekend events from spring through the fall, including live music events.
This fall, they’re taking it to the next level with the first DewGrass Festival, New Castle County’s first outdoor bluegrass festival, with New York’s Yarn headlining.
Other acts slated to play are locals Betty & the Bullet, Apache Trails, Mountain Lion String Band, Philly’s Levee Drivers, Jersey Corn Pickers, Underground Railroad and Earth Radio.
DewGrass is happening Sept. 22 from noon to 8 p.m., right on the grounds of Dew Point. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the gate, with VIP tickets (including preferred seating, parking and one free beer) available for $35 in advance. Kids 12 and under are free.-30-
