Lots of people have ideas for nonprofit organizations, but many never get off the ground because it all seems too complicated, from incorporation to tax forms to bylaws.

Tinesar Forrest, executive director of Ty Enterprises, adjunct faculty at Wilmington University and an instructor for the Delaware Money School, will be bringing her workshop, “Starting a Nonprofit: It’s Time to Get Inc’d!” to the Bellvue Community Center in Wilmington on July 21 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The two-hour workshop will include creating a mission statement, reviewing key components of group bylaws, and filling out incorporation and tax forms.

The workshop is geared toward people who already have an idea for a nonprofit and are ready to move forward. A $35 fee includes workshop materials.
