If you’ve ever had to sit in standstill traffic during your morning commute or missed a meeting in Philly because of a SEPTA delay, you’ve probably wished there was a better way. If you’re a particularly innovative thinker, you may have even come up with possible solutions as your day was put on hold.

We want to hear those innovative solutions.

TrafficCast International, the travel-tech company with its new East Coast office based in The Mill, has teamed up with for the TrafficCast Design Challenge in Philadelphia on June 27.

Finalists will pitch their ideas for powering a consumer-facing mobility solution for commuters and daily travelers at the event, with $10,000 in prizes awarded to the winners.

TrafficCast is a leading North American traffic data and technology company, supplying information to almost every traffic or navigation source you encounter, from radio and TV traffic reports to your onboard navigation. You can get an up-close look at what they do at their June 20 Open House at The Mill, where you can tour their state-of-the-art traffic operations facility, meet the team and get a preview of the TrafficCast Design Challenge.

We’ll be accepting pitches from individuals and teams through Wednesday, June 20. Finalists will be selected from submissions before the event. The submission form will be announced soon — keep an eye on our events page for more information.

In the meantime, you can RSVP for the event to be alerted when the form goes live. It’s free, whether you’ve got an idea or want to hear them (and get in some Philly networking, of course), and will be held at Technically Media’s offices at 1776 (Curtis Center, 601 Walnut St., 12th floor, Philadelphia, Pa.) from 5–7 p.m.
