When the ice cream shop has a birthday party, you know it’s gonna be good

Grab a scoop or three this Wednesday and celebrate Year 1 of UDairy Creamery on Market Street.

UDairy Creamery on Market Street in Wilmington is already a downtown fixture, with its gourmet grilled cheese, poetry slams and, of course, ridiculously good ice cream. (Full disclosure, I’m hooked on Holy Fluffernutter myself.) And as of this week, it’s officially been on Market Street for one year, bringing its freshly made dairy products sourced from the University of Delaware’s farm in Newark.

In addition to offering hyperlocal ice cream and cheese, UDairy Creamery is managed and run by students, who learn what it takes to develop a profitable, independent and sustainable business.

On Wednesday, May 23, they’ll be celebrating their birthday with an all-day party with giveaways including free coffee during breakfast, free birthday cake cream cheese (with bagel purchase), sampling of their grilled cheese and other nibbles in the afternoon, kids activities and a spin-the-wheel for free ice cream, T-shirts and other prizes. 🍦🍨🎉
