Girl Develop It offers affordable programs for adult women interested in learning web and software development in a judgment-free environment, from one- and two-day courses to specialized programs like the recent pilot program at Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in New Castle.

The $80 course will be taught by Jocelyn Harper, a Zip Code Wilmington grad who went on to work as a developer at JPMorgan Chase. She now works for O3 World in Philadelphia.

The course is open anyone over the age of 18, regardless of gender, with a basic knowledge of HTML, a laptop and a willingness to uphold a judgement-free environment for learning.
