Delaware students take action against gun violence with #DEWalkouts

What Wednesday's day of action looked like on social media.

Wednesday was the National School Walkout, a day of student protest against gun violence that marked one month after the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Fla.

In Delaware, the day was marked at schools from Kuumba Academy to the University of Delaware, but the main participants were high schools. Most high schools held organized protests on school grounds, including 17-minute moments of silence and remembrances.

In Delaware, the social media hashtag for the event was #DEWalkouts. Here’s a roundup of photos and video from up and down the state:

Sending love to the students of Thomas McKean High School. I support you!
