Small Business Saturday may be over, but the holiday shopping season is just warming up — and Wilmington in Transition’s Food & Gift Fair this Sunday is both a showcase for local entrepreneurs and an opportunity to support your community’s economy.
This year mark’s the eighth year for the event, and the invitation-only lineup includes seasonal artisanal ice pops from SummerJ, Rocker Soaps, Double Spiral Chocolate, Fancy Plants, EclecticDash Designs, Planting Hope local honey, Nubian Traditions handcrafted jewelry, Sadiddy Hippie natural wellness products and a bunch more vendors from up and down the state. Local culinary options include offerings from Yay Nomz by Chef Nicole and Chef ThugLife.
Musical guests include local acts like Butch Zito, DJ Skinny White and Ed Dwornik.
The WiT Food & Gift Fair will be held Dec. 10 at Wilmington’s Silverside Church (2800 Silverside Rd.) from 2–6 p.m. Admission is free; WiT will be collecting donations of new socks to be donated to Friendship House.
