Few Delaware entrepreneurs are as well known as Sam Calagione, founder and CEO of Dogfish Head. In fact, few brewers are as well known. Just consider Calagione’s growing list of documentaries, Discovery’s “Brew Masters” TV series and even non-doc movie appearances like 2011’s The Dish & The Spoon (he played a brewery manager).
Calagione is also an author who started with guides for home brewers in the mid-2000s, and now he’s written or co-written nine books, including Brewing up a Business and 2016’s Off-Centered Leadership.
For his newest book, Calagione teamed up with Jason and Todd Alström of BeerAdvocate for a cookbook of sorts called Project Extreme Brewing. In it, you’ll find some of the most unusual beers from around the country, with step-by-step instructions for how to brew them at home.
And, to make a sweet holiday gift for your favorite home brewer even sweeter, Calagione will be signing copies of the book Dec. 17 at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach, starting at 5:30.
