Every Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m., entrepreneurs, educators and journalists get together at 1313 Innovation for an hour or so to share newsworthy items, whether they’re events, honors, acquisitions — anything our readers might be interested in.
It’s called Pitch the Press, but don’t let the name scare you. It’s a laid back and conversational meeting, not a shark tank.
The weekly meeting, which began in August of this year, is meant to streamline the process of delivering information to the local press for small businesses that lack a PR team. It’s also a great way to get to know local business reporters, as well as network with others in the tech, business and nonprofit communities.
Ordinarily, organizer Lauren Spinelli asks that you let her know a day or two beforehand by email (email@example.com) if you’re coming, but for Delaware Innovation Week, Pitch the Press is going open-house style. Stop in to share your news, or just to check it out.
We meet in the collaboration space. As always, I’ll be there!
