Delaware Dept. of State wants your input on small business development

Three listening sessions will take place this week, one in each county.

Want your voice to be heard on the issues that affect your business? The Delaware Department of State is looking for public input on the future of economic development in each county this week, with Community Listening Sessions in Wilmington, Dover and Georgetown.
This past June, the General Assembly dissolved the Delaware Economic Development Office (DEDO), leading to the state’s creation of the new Division of Small Business, Development & Tourism and the in-development, public-private Delaware Prosperity Partnership.
The new division wants input from the public — entrepreneurs, business leaders, small business owners and others interested in the future of Delaware’s economic development efforts — at a two-hour facilitated conversation on creating a plan for the future that’s in line with the needs of the community. Before the discussion, there will be a 30-minute info session.
