Here are a few things on Wolff’s desk that he can’t live without:
85 percent of my business is conducted on online, so this is where most work happens, from email to improving back end systems to communicating with my team on Slack. Another stellar program I use is Zapier, which helps coordinate and automate multiple tasks within my business.
- A good old office phone
The phone is still the best way to conduct business, especially when working with people all over the United States.
- Sticky notes
My brain never shuts off — I’m always coming up with ways to improve and grow the business. As such, I carry Post-it notes around with me so when I am away from my office, I can jot the ideas down.
- Pen and paper
Call me old fashioned, but I use pen and paper because it is easier to take notes during calls and easier to log my list of ideas. When you write something down, it’s not going anywhere. When you have lots to do, it allows you to focus on just what is in front of you, without distractions. I find when I try to track tasks on a program, it is too easy to catalog them and then forget about them.
Staying hydrated is not only healthy, but it increases concentration and focus. Therefore, on an average day I drink bottles of water to help me stay productive, even if I’m running on little sleep.-30-
