60 seconds to pitch and 54 hours of code: Startup Weekend returns Nov. 11

Palms, sweaty; knees, weak; arms, heavy. With only 60 seconds to pitch an idea and 54 hours to put it together, this contest truly puts ideas to the test. Meet Startup Weekend Delaware (formerly known as Global Startup Battle). It’s coming to the University of Delaware the weekend of Nov. 11 and it’s back for its fifth round. It will be hosted at the Horn Program in Entrepreneurship’s Venture Development Center.
“Bringing University of Delaware students and the Delaware tech and startup communities together will generate a diversity of ideas,” said Horn Program adjunct and tech community liaison Mona Parikh.
Potential investors will be present at the event.

Startup Weekend events have taken place in over 140 countries with more than 234,000 participants since 2009. Delaware plans on continuing to be a part of this global tradition (as it has since 2011).
