SevOne has recently encountered some troubled waters. Now its husband-and-wife cofounders, chief of staff Tanya Bakalov and chief technology officer Vess Bakalov, have left their day-to-day posts within the company. Vess Bakalov will maintain a position on the board of directors to advise SevOne leadership.
“I wish everyone the best of luck and though I know I will miss this job, I know the company will go on to excel,” Vess Bakalov wrote in a post on LinkedIn. “I truly want to thank the folks who were here for the long haul and poured their hearts and souls into this enterprise – those brave enough to join in the early days and those passionate enough to challenge me and make me better.”
SevOne currently maintains a 2.9-star rating on employee review site Glassdoor.
“SevOne is in the middle of the worst growing pains I’ve ever witnessed or heard about,” one former employee wrote in February.
“Management became disconnected and out of touch with the genuine issues hurting the business and the people responsible for getting things done,” another ex-employee wrote. “The disconnect widened with each passing quarter.”
Officials from SevOne did not respond to requests for comment.-30-
