Girl Develop It Wilmington is hosting its first class tonight

After last week's opening reception, now it's time to get to work.

Full disclosure: The author of this post works for 1313 Innovation and was involved in bringing Girl Develop It to Delaware.

And now the real work begins for Girl Develop It Wilmington.
After a warm reception last week with 60+ attendees, which featured head sponsor AT&T and GDI Executive Director Corinne Warnshuis, Girl Develop It Wilmington will host its first actual workshop Thursday night at 1313 Innovation.
Dominique Clarke, community outreach lead at Zip Code Wilmington and GDI Wilmington instructor, will teach tonight’s Introduction to Web Concepts, which starts at 6:00 p.m.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be teaching the first Girl Develop It Wilmington Class,” Clarke said. “I remember the excitement I felt when I first discovered tech through GDI [Philly] and I feel honored to help women in Delaware build their skill set.”
The class has sold out twice, after bumping up the attendee count from 25 to 30 to accommodate demand. For information on future classes, join the chapter’s Meetup group:
