Retired DelTech prez tops list of 10 highest-paid state employees in 2014

Police, doctors, a school superintendent and a retired college president top the list.

The News Journal recently reported on the 10 highest-paid state employees. Police, doctors, a school superintendent and a retired college president topped the 2014 list.
Orland J. George, who retired as president of Delaware Technical Community College last June, received $219,530 in supplemental pay, the News Journal reports. That included $83,715 for unused vacation days and $71,859 from his benefits and bonus package.
Gov. Jack Markell was the 85th highest-paid state employee, bringing in a $171,000 salary.
