Penn Quarter marketing and events company Event Farm has a new method for holding safe, in-person events.
Via a new partnership with NYC secure identity company Clear Secure, event holders can use apps from both companies to assure that attendees are vaccinated, free of COVID-19 symptoms and track compliance with any other event safety protocols. The Clear Health Pass app lets attendees integrate lab results, validate vaccination records and take a health-screening survey before attending. Upon arrival, staff can use the Event Farm check-in technology to scan a Health Pass QR code to make sure everyone attending has completed the survey and is, to the best of their knowledge, COVID-19 free.
“It is our mission at Event Farm to continuously innovate and expand new event safety technologies to benefit both planners and attendees alike,” said Event Farm cofounder Ryan Costello in a statement. “Partnering with Clear to streamline the health screening process is a critical step toward ensuring a safe and swift return of in-person events.”
According to Event Farm, the Clear partnership also marries well with the company’s event safety software options. The organization offers app technology for event safety such as contactless check-in, contact tracing, digital tracking of mask wearing and a tool that texts users when its their turn to check in, instead of standing in a line to wait. Earlier this year, Event Farm also developed a Zoom integration for its avatar-based Echo platform to help out with virtual events.
The partnership announcement in June kicked off a period of news for Clear Secure. The company, which has technology in D.C. airports, also went public last week. With the IPO, the company is now valued at $4.5 billion.
