Want a hand in informing your community? Nonprofit news organization NPR is looking for a senior software engineer to join its team. Interested candidates should have experience editing features within a large Java code base and front-end web application development. Bonus for those who have experience working in cloud tech like Amazon Web Services.
The person in this role will create software technical designs, identify and fix production issues, take part in daily standups and other scrum activities, participate in code deployment and more.
Axios needs a senior mobile engineer to lead development of its mobile apps along with the mobile team’s front-end and React Native engineers. The media company — with a CEO who offered to pay medical bills and bail for employees who protested in June — is looking for someone with experience building high-traffic codebases and a passion for its mission.
This position is remote, but Axios is based in Arlington, Virginia.
Upside Business Travel wants to add a senior full-stack engineer to its team. Candidates for this role should have four to eight years of relevant experience or possess a degree in computer science, be familiar with Node.JS, and have built highly scalable products in the past.
The person in this role will work directly with Upside’s president and engineering team leadership to design and deploy software systems for the business travel industry, which looks a little different than usual these days.
Facebook is looking to hire full-stack software engineers for its product teams. Candidates for this role should have at least two years of programming experience and have spent at least two years building large-scale applications or something similar. A degree in computer science is not required but it’s preferred.
The company has Seattle and D.C. listed for the location of these positions.
McLean, Virginia-based global management consulting giant Booz Allen Hamilton is looking to hire a software engineer lead with eight or more years of experience with functional testing and five or more years of backend testing experience. Candidates must also possess a degree in IT security, engineering or a related field. The person in this role will manage the testing process for a cyber defense tools solution, assist with backend database testing and the like.
