Here are the nominees for the 2020 Timmy Awards in DC

The annual event hosted by Tech in Motion DC is going virtual on Oct. 29. The #dctech community can now vote for their favorites in five categories.

Voting is open for the six annual Timmy Awards by Tech in Motion in D.C.

Tech in Motion is a national network of technology events. The organization did a call for nominations for the annual award ceremony, choosing top picks in five categories: Best Tech for Good, Best Tech Workplace for Diversity, Best Tech Work Culture, Best Tech Startup and Best Tech Manager.

This is a first for the Best Tech for Good award, which recognizes how companies are using tech to to connect, support, inform or encourage communities amid the pandemic. The Timmy Awards will be held virtually on Thursday, Oct. 29, and will include all regional chapters in one events. More event details will be coming soon, but registration is open.

Keep in mind that there will be public voting and a judging panel to determine winners. The 2020 Regional Community Favorite awards will be announced online on Monday, Oct. 5.

You can cast your ballot here — just make sure you vote for D.C.-area companies. Here are the finalists in each category:
