Health management service company GENETWORx has plans to hire hundreds of employees to work out of its Glen Allen, Virginia-based facility.

Launched in 2013, the company manages a network of health care providers that offer patients targeted care based on their genetic profile. GENETWORx also conducts laboratory testing, including for COVID-19. The healthcare company developed its own coronavirus test for physicians to administer and began accepting samples in mid-March. It was recently the focus of a Tampa Bay Times article about a spike in Florida cases.

This hiring push comes as part of a new campaign to employ people who may have lost their jobs because of the coronavirus. The company is offering full-time positions to job seekers of all skill and experience levels.

“We want to do our part in contributing our expertise to help in the nation’s battle against the coronavirus,” GENETWORx CEO William Miller said in a statement. “The technology we have developed not only allows us to mass produce these much needed COVID-19 tests but also ensures an accurate test result in a timely response time from receipt of the sample.”

GENETWORx is hiring for registration data entry positions, lab technicians, lab tech assistants, project managers, business managers and other lab-based roles. The extensive hiring plans are crucial right now because of the company’s growth and the continuous need for COVID-19 testing and research.
