ShorePoint Inc. acquired Chantilly-based Cyberyllium.

Cybersecurity startup ShorePoint Inc. has acquired Chantilly, Virginia-based Cyberyllium, provider of data transformation services and Elasticsearch capabilities for government and corporate enterprises.

Launched in 2017, ShorePoint is a Herndon, Virginia-based cybersecurity services startup that specializes in supporting the Department of Homeland Security’s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program, an initiative that focuses on reducing cybersecurity risks for federal government entities. The financial terms of the acquisition deal were not disclosed.

“Cyberyllium represents a perfect fit to ShorePoint’s strategic growth plan by further strengthening our current cybersecurity offerings which help federal and civilian agencies implement and maintain the technologies, methodologies and processes for managing threats,” said ShorePoint cofounder and CEO Matt Brown in a statement.

ShorePoint CSO Ryan McCullough led Cyberyllium’s integration and the combined company’s new go-to-market strategy plans. All Cyberyllium employees have joined the ShorePoint team and Cyberllium’s executive team were added to ShorePoint’s leadership team under executive director titles, Brown told Technical.ly. The combined company has under 100 employees.

“This acquisition gives us the capabilities and added technical depth to deliver now on where both CDM and broader agency cyber modernization initiatives are going in the near future,” McCullough said.

Freedom Consulting Group acquired St. Louis-based Geodata IT.

Columbia, Maryland-based Freedom Consulting Group (FCG) acquired St. Louis-based Geodata IT for an undisclosed amount.

FCG is a data analytics, business intelligence and engineering solution provider founded in 2004. Geodata IT is an eight-year-old, veteran-owned geospatial IT solutions provider. Back in 2017, Geodata IT was named the Minority Owned Small Business of the Year for Eastern Missouri by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

“The innovation and growth in the geospatial intelligence community in St. Louis was certainly appealing as we evaluated where to make strategic investments,” said FCG CEO Dana Gift in a press release. “Ultimately, the decision to bring Geodata IT into the FCG family came down to shared values and both organizations’ commitment to its people and mission.”

With this acquisition, the two companies will continue to operate separately and retain their respective names and organizational structures.

MAG Aerospace acquired AASKI Technology.

Fairfax, Virginia-based Mag Aerospace has acquired New Jersey-based AASKI Technology, provider of tech consulting services to government and commercial entities. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition closed on April 1.

Founded in 2009, MAG Aerospace develops aerial sensing systems to deliver real-time data to government and commercial clients. This acquisition news comes after the aerospace company appointed a new president on Feb. 1: Joseph Reale joined to support the CEO in implementing new operational strategies.

MAG Aerospace didn’t report specific leadership shifts but the company will welcome AASKI Technology’s portfolio of 400 engineers to its team.
