Events Roundup is a Technical.ly column where we highlight events happening in the D.C. area each month. Got a submission? Email us the details so we can consider it for our next roundup.

The local chapter of 1 Million Cups will return this January with two events at a new location.

The biweekly event series features one or two entrepreneurs who share specific challenges faced by their company. Unlike a traditional pitch event, 1 Million Cups wants attendees to ask questions and discuss ways to help these entrepreneurs solve their most difficult problems to help scale their ventures. The event series usually takes place in the morning, with coffee.

Last year, events were held at various locations, including the original 1776 DC office and We Work Metropolitan Square. On Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1 Million Cups returns at WeWork Navy Yard located at 80 M St. SE. The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. and will feature a presentation by Cherry Blossom Intimates, an intimates boutique business for cancer survivors.

The next 1 Million Cups event is set for Jan. 22 with a presentation from ImagineBC, which runs a platform for content providers to monetize their creative expertise.
