These are the nominees for the fifth annual DC Timmy Awards

Ahead of the annual event on Oct. 10 hosted by Tech in Motion DC, the #dctech community can vote for their favorites in four categories.

It’s open voting season for Tech in Motion’s fifth annual D.C. Timmy Awards.

After a call for nominations, Tech in Motion, a national network of technology events, gathered top nominations in four categories: Best Tech Startup, Best Tech Manager, Best Work Culture and Best Workplace for Diversity.

The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10, at Capital One in Tysons, Virginia. The event will include interactive demos, food, drinks and an afterparty following the announcement of the winners.

For the best tech work culture category, Tech in Motion Regional Marketing Manager Britta Shillingsburg told Technical.ly that Appian and ThreatQuotient have opted out of public voting and will only be included in the judges choice category, so they won’t be listed on the site.
