It’s open voting season for Tech in Motion’s fifth annual D.C. Timmy Awards.
After a call for nominations, Tech in Motion, a national network of technology events, gathered top nominations in four categories: Best Tech Startup, Best Tech Manager, Best Work Culture and Best Workplace for Diversity.
The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10, at Capital One in Tysons, Virginia. The event will include interactive demos, food, drinks and an afterparty following the announcement of the winners.
You can cast your ballot here — just make sure you vote for D.C.-area companies. Here are the finalists in each category:
Best Tech Startup
- Churn Zero
Best Tech Manager
- Hannah White, VP of design and product experience at Leverage
- Chris Murphy, software engineering manager at Custom Ink
- Emily Ryan, senior director of user experience at GoCanvas
- Mark DiGiovanni, director of software engineering at Capital One
Best Tech Work Culture
- Signal Vine
- Fiscal Note
Best Tech Workplace for Diversity
- Capital One
- MPOWER Financing
For the best tech work culture category, Tech in Motion Regional Marketing Manager Britta Shillingsburg told Technical.ly that Appian and ThreatQuotient have opted out of public voting and will only be included in the judges choice category, so they won’t be listed on the site.
