SEED SPOT is expanding its programming with the Impact Entrepreneur Meet-Up

The free, monthly event series was created to increase access to resources for impact entrepreneurs, tech leaders and future startup founders.

SEED SPOT is launching a free monthly educational program in the District.

The social impact incubator hosts 2-Day Launch Camps and its eight-week Impact Accelerator, with presence in D.C., Phoenix, Santa Barbara, Seattle and Philadelphia. The Impact Entrepreneur Meet-Up will join SEED SPOT’s portfolio of programming, and will be focused on increasing access to resources for social impact entrepreneurs, tech leaders and future startup founders. Each monthly session will last 90 minutes and feature workshops hosted on the third Friday morning of every month.

“In order to impact the greater D.C. entrepreneurship ecosystem and ensure each entrepreneur has the opportunity and space to launch, develop, and cultivate their dream, we are excited to introduce the Impact Entrepreneur Meet-Up,” C’pher Gresham, CEO of SEED SPOT, said in a statement. “Through our partners and experts, each founder with an idea or a growing startup can have access to top rated support and a community of like-minded founders.”

This is SEED SPOT’s first program that will be ongoing throughout the year. The organization is partnering with local companies like Booz Allen Hamilton, WeWork and Verizon 5G Labs to host the series.

The first Impact Entrepreneur Meet-Up is set for Friday, Sept. 20, at 8:30 a.m. at the Booz Allen Hamilton Innovation Center. This inaugural session will feature a discussion with Elizabeth McCluskey, principal at Impact Engine, on how to finance a venture and form relationships with investors.
