This guest post is sponsored by Comcast and was reviewed before publication.

This is a guest post by Linda McKenna, director of technical conferences at Comcast.

The PHLAI conference is back for its third year: On Aug. 15, join technologists of all levels at the Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia to catch up on the very latest practical applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning technology.

This year’s event includes several workshops and demos on technology like IBM Watson, Databricks MLflow, H2O, Data Robot and Ascend.io, as well as a keynote address from Nij Chawla, chief customer officer at CognitiveScale. Learn about challenges, opportunities and advances in AI and machine learning from experts from Comcast, IBM, Azavea, Vanguard and more, and dive deep on how AI is being used to enhance the customer experience.

Workshops are all hands-on, and require a laptop and some prior knowledge. Attendees can also sign up for building tours to see the CTC and learn about its architecture, art and technology.

Entrance is $25 and full proceeds will be donated to Girls Who Code.

Also, save the date for the next Comcast Labs event — Cloud Native Revolution scheduled for Oct. 8. If you work in public, private or hybrid cloud environments, and have an interesting use case or experience to share, consider sending a proposal to speak at the event and join Cloud Native Computing Foundation’s director of ecosystem, Cheryl Hung and JPL’s IT chief technology and innovation officer, Tom Soderstrom.
