A StartupBus is departing from DC for its 10th anniversary

StartupBus, a company that curates a tech entrepreneurship bootcamp via road trip, is bringing its talents back to D.C. after seven years.

The mobile hackathon company is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a five-day road trip experience gathering developers, designers and influencers to trek to New Orleans. The road trip kicks off July 24 with buses departing from the District, Ohio, Florida, California and New York.

Once participants arrive in the Big Easy, entrepreneurs will pitch their ventures to a panel of expert judges that includes Wayne Sutton, cofounder and CTO of Change Catalyst, Melinda Briana Epler, founder and CEO of Change Catalyst, Jesse Jackson, chief learning officer at J.P. Morgan Chase, Alicia Syrett, founder of Pantegrion Capital, Uriridiakoghene (Ulili) Onovakpuri, partner at Kapor Capital and Christopher Hollins, managing director of cash management for Chase Business Banking at JPMorgan Chase.

The D.C. bus still has spots open: Apply here if you’re interested. There’s no cash prize for the winning team, but all of the startups will have a chance to network with investors venture capital firms. The company is also offering two free tickets for designers to go on the trip and is looking for press people to join as well.
