After closing a $2.5 million seed round of funding last month, D.C.-based Procurated announced three key hires to its team.

The newly-launched startup curates a digital peer review platform that allows public sector organizations to incorporate peer reviews into their supplier selection process.

In the last few weeks, Procurated has welcomed Senior Director of Operations and Strategy Jessica Einstein, Senior Director of Product Management Rebecca Moran and Director of Marketing Alex Stonehouse.

“I am very excited to welcome Jess, Becca and Alex to our team,” David Yarkin, founder and CEO of Procurated, said in a statement. “Their collective experience launching and growing products in multi-sided marketplaces is unparalleled, and together they will be instrumental in building a lasting culture at Procurated as we continue to grow.”

Einstein joins the team with an extensive resume working in operations. From 2011 to 2013, she worked in various roles at the D.C.-based marketplace for coupons and rebates LivingSocial, during the company’s peak before it saw its tough decline and ultimate end in 2016. She previously worked at taxi app company curb and most recently at Collage.com, a platform where customers can order custom photo products, as the company’s director of business development.

Moran and Stonehouse both come to Procurated after working at Xometry, a Gaithersburg, Md.-based on-demand manufacturing marketplace.

Moran led product management at Xometry for a few years, after spending four years working in various roles at Politico, including chief of staff, technical product manager and direct of revenue operations.

Stonehouse brings experience working in marketing and managing social media campaigns. Previously, Stonehouse helped launch Atlantic Media’s state and local government digital publication, RouteFifty, and led acquisition marketing at Xometry before joining Procurated.

Stonehouse will lead Procurated’s marketing efforts as the startup prepares to officially launch its platform to national procurement organizations later this year.
