Downtown D.C.-based home renovation marketplace remodelmate this week announced a new nationwide project financing partnership with SoFi.

This partnership will allow remodelmate customers to apply for financing on their home renovation projects online through SoFi’s platform. SoFi offers personal loans up to $100,000. The fintech company was recently awarded a Best Personal Loan of 2019 in the good credit and home improvement categories by NerdWallet.

“Remodeling a home, no matter how big or small the project, has never been this easy,” Chad Hall, remodelmate founder and CEO said in a statement. “One click to book a renovation, and another to finance it. Our installers’ rates are typically 30 percent below the national average, making us one of the most affordable options for new homeowners who can only afford fixer-uppers. With SoFi, we’re making home renovations and homeownership even more accessible.”

This partnership simplifies the home renovation process as remodelmate progresses to become a one-stop home remodeling marketplace, Jon Amar, remodelmate’s cofounder and head of growth said in a statement. SoFi joins a network of remodelmate partners including Ace Hardware, interior design service Havenly and local realtors.
