SEED SPOT, Association for Women in Science (AWIS) and the Vinetta Project are teaming up to host a 2-Day Launch Camp on December 6 and 7, specifically for companies founded by women. Over these two days, entrepreneurs will learn how to grow their ventures. The organizations teamed up for this event to empower women in tech.

SEED Spot’s social entrepreneurship curriculum has helped launch hundreds of entrepreneurs since its inception, 50 percent of which are women founders and 46 percent of which are minority founders, a press release states.

“Vinetta is best suited to work with later stage founders, so we are thrilled to have the opportunity to support female entrepreneurs as they’re getting their businesses off the ground,” Kelly O’Malley, Vinetta Project’s Mid-Atlantic regional director, said in a statement. “Hopefully this Launch Camp allows us to have an active role in the inception of some of these companies, and in the future we get to see them apply for our Venture Challenge and even pitch on the Vinetta stage.”

The women in tech Launch Camp is supported by Booz Allen Hamilton, GoDaddy and Beacon, with space provided by Beyond20.

The Launch Camp will conclude with a pitch night where women founders can pitch their ventures to a crowd to show what they learned. A judging panel will hand out some awards such as the Growth Award and the Social Innovation Award. After the entrepreneurial camp, all of the participating women founders will have ongoing access to a plethora of resources from SEED Spot, AWIS, and the Vinetta Project.
