“Are you my mentor?”
That’s the question posed by DC Tech Stories as the podcast features a conversation with Janice Omadeke, the founder and CEO of The Mentor Method, a social enterprise which provides curated mentor matches.
In the second episode of the second season, Omadeke discusses tech, diversity and leadership.
DC Tech Stories host Jessica Bell offered some thoughts on the conversation:
Janice continues to blow me away – she is always positive, uplifting, and excited, the perfect person to take on the issue of mentorship. I personally struggle with finding mentors in tech, and I have a feeling many technical folks do as well, so I am happy there is someone trying to address the issue. I am curious to see where the Mentor Method goes and hope more companies get on board with her model! Having specific models to help employees find valuable mentorship, ESPECIALLY for underrepresented folks in tech, can make or break people staying and leading in the tech field!
