Local organization DCode42 is aiming to acquaint federal movers and shakers with the finer points of blockchain. And what better way to do that than to throw a part-panel, part-demo event?

The event – which DCode42 describes as a “demo day” on its website – will be held Dec. 12 in the National Union Building in Chinatown and will last from 9.30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $75 for private sectors attendees, and no cost for federal employees.

This isn’t the organization’s first blockchain and fintech event. Earlier this year, Dcode hosted a media panel (featuring FedScoop tech reporter and former Technical.ly D.C. lead reporter Tajha Chappellet-Lanier). And it’s not #dctech’s  first push to connect regulators with blockchain, either. But the prospect of tech demonstrations in addition to panel discussions could make the event uniquely informative.
