Former Artisphere is now a giant coworking space

Spaces opened in Rosslyn with a 37,000 sq. ft. space.

Coworking company Spaces has opened a massive location at 1101 Wilson Boulevard in Rosslyn. The building was previously home Artisphere before taking on its current form.

The 37,000 square-foot coworking office costs upward of $249 a month, and offers 303 desks on the 6th, 8th and 9th floors. Secure spaces are open open 24/7, and the amenities include 9,000 square feet of outdoor space, a balcony and an atrium near Freedom Park.

According ARLnow, you can enjoy eight beer taps, a bar and cafe and kitchen. To help provide a mental break, there are also “board games, adult coloring books and crayons, paints, art books and unique, hand-curated knick-knacks” placed throughout the space.

As we previously reported, the number of telecommuters jumped 115 percent between 2005 and 2015, according to the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Four million American workers, or roughly three percent of the workforce, now work out of the office at least half the time.

Spaces, which is based in Amsterdam, has been expanding in the U.S. recently. The company has a location in NoMa and recently signed a lease on a new space in Baltimore.
