D.C.-based Revolution’s growth-stage fund has a new partner.

Todd Klein, who was previously a managing director at D.C. VC firm SWan and Legend Venture Partners, joined Revolution Growth as a partner, the investment firm founded by Steve Case, Ted Leonisis and Donn Davis said Wednesday.

“Steve, Ted, and Donn have established the premier platform for entrepreneurs in Washington, and I am thrilled to work with the entire Revolution Growth team to build upon that success,” Klein said in a statement.

Revolution Growth closed a $525 million fund last year.

The move adds more local connections for the firm. Klein formed Legend Ventures in 2005, which later became SWaN and Legend. He is already a board observer at Revolution Growth-backed companies including CustomInk, Optoro, Echo360, and Cava.
