It’s that time of year again — time for the local round of 2017’s InnovateHER pitch competition.

The yearly national pitch competition organized by the Office of Women’s Business Ownership at the U.S. Small Business Administration aims to surface new “innovations that make the lives of women and families easier and longer.”

Winners of local competitions will be submitted for consideration to the SBA, which will choose 10 companies to vie for a total of $70,000 in prize money on the line. But in order to get there, you’ve got to rise to the top here at home. Springboard Enterprises, Hera Hub, Fosterly and Black Female Founders are teaming up to host a local edition of InnovateHER on April 6.

Got a product that has “a measurable impact on the lives of women and families?” Business plans from those who wish to pitch are due by March 24. A total of six to eight companies will be chosen — find more information on how to apply here.
