This is a guest post by Tech Women Network founder Jumoke K. Dada.

What do you get when you have a platform for women in tech that functions like a hipper version of LinkedIn mixed with a little Jumoke Dada flare? You get the Tech Women Network.

The Tech Women Network is a digital café that allows tech-savvy women to showcase their skills, find resources and connect to one another. The new website will be revealed on Wednesday, March 1 and thanks to the supporters of its Thunderclap campaign, the announcement will reach over 600,000 people via social media.

Launch events will also be held in three East Coast cities to kickoff Women’s History Month. The events will take place at WeWork FIDI in New York on March 1, I/O Spaces in Silver Spring on March 2 and the Microsoft Reactor in Philadelphia on March 3.

Register for the #dctech event here.

Attendees will hear stories from “TECHnistas” that will be spotlighted on the site as well as women in tech overseas. Early supporters of the platform include Ada’s List, Women in Tech Summit, Rails Girls, Network of Women with Careers in Technology, Silicon Harlem and more.

So why’d I’d start the Tech Women Network?

I worked in information technology for over decade as an application developer, systems analyst and project manager. Later, as a tech consultant, I saw the growing need for more women and girls to pursue STEM careers. I was unaware of women-led support networks early on in my career, so once I learned about various women-in-tech organizations and meetups, I realized that it would be beneficial to have the information centralized. The goal of the Tech Women Network is to be the site where women with technical and digital skills go to find opportunities, resources and other like-minded women outside of their local networks.

We hope these three launch events are just the beginning.
